Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Food and Dietetics Research (JFDR) are evaluated entirely on the basis of their scientific content. There are no publication charges. All possible measures are taken to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics and to prevent malpractices.
Authors who submit papers to our journals attest that their work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors confirm that their paper is their own work and has not been plagiarized. Proper citation must be provided wherever required.
This statement follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Duties / Responsibilities of Editors
- The Editorial Team is responsible for deciding which submitted articles are published.
- Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts.
- Evaluation is based on scholarly merit without discrimination.
- Editors must avoid conflicts of interest.
- Confidentiality of manuscripts must be maintained.
- Editors may consult reviewers before decisions.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts.
- Provide objective and justified reviews.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Identify uncited relevant work.
- Report plagiarism or duplication.
- Do not use unpublished material for personal advantage.
Duties / Responsibilities of Authors
- Provide accurate and original research work.
- Avoid plagiarism and duplicate submission.
- Ensure proper citation of sources.
- Include only significant contributors as authors.
- Confirm all co-authors approve submission.
- Disclose funding sources.
- Report errors and cooperate in corrections.
Publication Responsibility
- The journal takes steps to prevent research misconduct.
- Retraction will be issued for unethical work.
- High ethical standards are maintained.
- Copyright and licensing are clearly stated.
- Digital preservation policies are ensured.
Corrections and Retractions
- Errors may be corrected via corrigendum or erratum.
- Serious errors may lead to retraction.
- COPE Retraction Guidelines are followed.
- All authors must agree to correction notices.
Peer Review Policy
Peer review ensures quality scientific publishing. All manuscripts undergo peer review.
Initial Manuscript Evaluation
