Article Processing Charges (APC)

The South Asian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (SAJSSH) is committed to fostering open access to scholarly research while maintaining high editorial standards. To cover the operational costs associated with the publication process, the journal implements Article Processing Charges (APCs). The APC structure of the journal is designed to ensure the quality and accessibility of published research while providing transparent and fair pricing.

APC Structure:

• Standard APC: The standard APC for the South Asian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (SAJSSH) is set at $53 (USD), including $3 for PayPal charges, per accepted article. This fee covers the costs of editorial work, peer review, typesetting, online hosting, doi charges and ensures the article is freely accessible upon publication.
• PayPal Charges: We also ask the authors to pay $3 (USD) along with the APC in the form of charges deducted by PayPal while receiving payments from authors. Therefore, the total amount that author/s need to pay is $53 (USD) while making payments through PayPal so that at the journal can receive the exact APC of $50 (USD).
• Discounts and Waivers: The journal offers a consideration for authors based on specific criteria, including geographic location, funding availability, and other qualifying circumstances. Authors from regions with limited access to research funding or from underrepresented backgrounds may be eligible for partial or full APC waivers or discounts. Details for qualification and application procedures can be found on the journal's website.
• Additional Services: The journal may provide optional services, such as language editing, graphical enhancements, or expedited publication for an extra fee, upon author request.

**Kindly note that this payment option is only available for the authors who are in Malaysia or can easily pay APC from any Malaysian bank account. This bank account cannot accept payments from outside Malaysia or in any other currency than Malaysian Ringgits (MYR).
