Authors Guideline
Author Guidelines
- MSILJ is published annually and includes articles, comments, book reviews and research papers. All submissions must be made online.
- All submissions (except Book Review)) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and important 5 Key words.
- Only manuscripts of sufficient quality that meet the aims and scope of MSILJ will be reviewed.
- As part of the submission process, you will be required to warrant that you are submitting your original work, that you have the rights in the work, and that you have obtained and can supply all necessary permissions for the reproduction of any copyright works not owned by you, that you are submitting the work for first publication in the Journal and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere and has not already been published elsewhere.
- All authors undertake that their submission does not infringe on the copyright or any other rights of any third person, nor does it contain anything defamatory, slanderous, libellous, and obscene or any other unlawful content. All authors agree that they shall be solely responsible in case of any legal violations.
- The authors must disclose any potential conflict of Interest.
- In case there are any fundamental errors in the submitted manuscripts, it is their duty to immediately notify the Journal of such errors and co-operate with the Journal in rectifying said errors. If the editors come to know of such fundamental error(s) in the published work, they shall provide the author an opportunity to prove the correctness of the work.
Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be in English. The preferred lengths for submissions are as follows:
- Articles: 6000–8000 words
- Notes/Comments: 4000-5000 words
- Book Reviews: 1500–2500 words
Formatting Guidelines
- Font size: 12 (main text), 14 (heading), 10 (footnotes)
- Font style: Times New Roman
- Footnote: JILI style of citation
- The bibliography must be included along with the manuscripts.
- Text must be justified.
- Line spacing: 1.5 (main text), 1.0 (footnotes), Use 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Abstract of 250-300 words must be submitted along with the main article/book review/legislative review.
- Co-authorship is allowed for up to 2 authors
- Along with the abstract, 4-5 keywords must also be mentioned.
- The acceptable format for submission of document is .doc or .docx
- The guidelines of UGC will be followed, with respect to plagiarism.
- Number all pages consecutively beginning with the title page.
