Development of a scale to measure the attitude of farmerstowards the use of digital platforms in agriculture

The aim of this study is to develop an attitude scale to measure the attitude towards use of digital platforms in agriculture. It has been a long time need for a proper scale to measure the attitude of farmers towards use of digital tools for Agriculture and allied sectors, it was thought necessary to construct a scale for the purpose. Keeping this in view, an attempt has been made to develop a scale for measuring the attitude of farmers towards use of digital platforms in agriculture. Method of summated rating scale, by Likert (1932) was used. Fifteen statements were selected from 50 statements for which ‘t’ values were worked out, ‘t’ value shows the level of differentiation between high and low group for a statement. More than 25-30 percent were selected which were with highest ‘t’ value. Finally, 15 statements were retained in the final scale for the study.
