Abstract

The goal of this article was to offer  an updated narrative review focusing  on the assessment, diagnosis, and  treatment of tinea infections.

8. Psorinum- intolerable itching. Herpetic eruptions, especially on scalp and bends of joints with itching; worse, from warmth of bed. Eczema behind ears. Crusty eruptions all over. Worse, changes of weather, from cold, dread of least cold air or draft.

9. Sepia- ringworm- like eruption every spring. Herpes circinatus in isolated spots. Itching; not relieved by scratching; worse in bends of elbows and kness. Herpetic eruption o lips, about mouth and nose. Worse, washing laundry-work, dampness, after sweat.

10. Sulphur- dry, scaly, unhealthy; every little injury suppurates. Itching, burning; worse scratching and washing. Pimply eruption, pustules, rhagades, hangnails. Excoriation especially in folds. Skin affections after local medication. Worse, warmth, in evening, washing, damp weather, often recurs in spring time.

11. Tellurium- herpes circinatus, offensive discharges. Herpetic spots; ringworm. Ring-shape lesions, offensive odors from affected parts. Barber’s itch. Stinging in skin. Offensive foot sweat. Eczema, back of ears and occiput. Circular patches of eczema.

12. Some more medicines like Mezerium, Hepar sulphuricum, Antimonium crudum, Calcarea carb, Lycopodium etc.4
