Abstract

Depression is the biggest contributor to the disease burden around the world owing to its high prevalence, high recurrence rates, chronicity, and co-morbidity with physical illnesses. According to the estimates of the World Health Organization, 322 million individuals, amounting to 4.4% of the world population, suffer from depression. The WHO predicts that depression will become the leading burden of disease by 2030 and it has already become the number one reason for years lost to disability. This is a case of 25-year girl suffering from depression, who showed considerable improvement in the HAM-D score after getting treated with homoeopathic individualized medicine.
