Senior High Students’ Attitude And Barriers Inconductinga Research: A Platform To Enhance Scientificpedagogicallearning

Background and objective: Research is an essential and powerful tool in leading man towards progress. Insufficient attention to research by a government and the educated members of a community may contributeto scientific and knowledge lags within the national community but also in the world as a whole. Methods and Findings: Three hundred six students from an autonomous university in the Philippines servedas participants and were selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection was done through surveyquestionnaire, checklist and open-ended questions. Results show that students have positive attitude towardresearch.
Conclusion: The students recognized that learning research is useful and acknowledged that researchisrelevant to daily life. Students’ barriers to research include limited time, lack of motivation, lack of researchskills and inadequate financial support.
