Abstract

Common warts (verucca vulgaris) are HPV associated, one of the common dermatological lesions characterized byhyperkeratotic, exophytic and dome shaped papules or nodules especially located on fingers, hands, knees, elbows or any other sites of trauma. Here, a 5 years old boy presented withone year history of multiple warty lesions on joints of bilateral hands with occasional pain, diagnosed with common warts. Initially no changes was observed with homoeopathic medicine selected on the basis of totality of symptoms. On changing the medicine giving more priority to location of warts, he gradually showed remarkable improvement and reached remission by the end of 21 days. Remission maintained without any recurrence over the next 6 months. The diagnosis of a wart is usually made on the basis of clinical examination. Even though there are many treatments (conventional) for warts, none is very effective, and recurrences are common with each of them. It is known that nearly two-thirds of warts spontaneously disappear within 24
