Abstract

What is NABH? 

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH – as it is popularly called) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India (QCI). NABH is not a regulatory body but an accrediting body. Those hospitals which seek to improve their standards of patient safety and quality of care offered to the patients seek accreditation.It is a voluntary activity. Accreditation as commonly known is a framework which helps the health care organizations to establish objective systems aimed at patient safety and quality of care.
