Abstract

The paper examines the reading interest and study habits among the undergraduate students in  government first grade college, Mudipu, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India. Study is  conducted through structured questionnaire. A total of 175 questionnaires were distributed among the  undergraduate students and 172 filled questionnaires were received. The present study revealed that  majority of the respondents like reading sometimes and their reading interest is moderate. Further it is  found that majority of the respondents prefer to read morning and they agreed that reading influences on  their academic performance.
