Probable Impact of Personal and Home Environment Variables on Unusual Uses Fluency Skills of Rural Adolescents

Creative education is when students are capable to implement their imagination and critical thinking to create some innovative and meaningful ideas where they can get menaces, be independent and flexible. Instead of being trained to reiterate what was learned previously, learners expand their own ability to find various solutions to a single problem. In addition, the primary goal of creative education is to promote originality in each student and this will permit more than one sort of learners to coexist within a classroom. Alternatively, this will also pave path in facilitating learning among students. By considering above mentioned facts, the present research was designed to study the association of personal and home environment variables on creative ability of the adolescents. To accomplish this aim, in the present study, standardized Passi Test of Creativity (PTC) developed by B.K. Passi, 2006 was implemented on a study sample consisting of 300 students from higher senior secondary schools of Hisar District (Haryana). Results suggested highly significant associations of Unusual Uses Fluency (UF) with respondents’ age, caste, health risks, type of family, family size, number of siblings, maternal education, maternal occupation, paternal occupation, parenting style adopted by parents, role of parents in adolescents’ creativity enhancement. While, significant associations were observed in participant’s birth order, sleep disorder and paternal education.
