different blackgram varieties. A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2021, at the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur. The soil of the experimental plot was clay in texture, nearly acidic in soil reaction (pH 5.96), medium organic carbon (0.75%), available N was low (280.39 kg/ha), medium available P2O5 (20.67 kg/ha) and available K2O (188.16 kg/ha). There were 12 treatment combinations with two factors viz., Potassium levels (0, 20, 30, and 40 kg K2O/ha) and Varieties (Pant U-31, Uttara, and CAU BG-1) laid out in a Factorial Randomized Block Design and were replicated thrice. The findings show that irrespective of varieties, grain yield (1125.67 kg/ha), stover yield (2410 kg/ha), harvest Index (34.74%), gross income (Rs 123823.70/ha), net income (Rs 83552.42/ha) and BC ratio (2.07) were maximum with the application of 40 kg K2O/ha.
