Abstract

The present study was conducted to assess the  two fresh water  ponds located in Hajipur, Vaishali, Bihar and  effects of sewage pollution from the drains of  surrounding areas. The study was carried on  from January 2018 to December 2018. The range  of variation for some physico – chemical  parameters like dissolved O2, free CO2,  Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Alkalinity, Calcium,  Chloride Phosphate, Nitrate and BOD was  studied for both the ponds. These parameters  show a marked difference between two fresh  water ponds depending upon the quality and  nature of sewage pollution.
