Morphometry is a response to specific hydrologyand it provides an insight for watershed management especially inagriculture dominated River basins. In this paperan attempt is made to comprehend the morphometric propertiesthe Warana River basin in order to obtain insight intinto the hydrological situation of the Warana River basin inMaharashtra. Morphometric parameters were calculated using geo processing techniques in QGIS 3.16.Warana river is a Seventh-orderbasin, characterized by a dendritic drainage, pattern with high sstream frequency(2.99/km), infiltration number (7.22), and drainage density (2.41 km/kmkm2), indicating high runoff potentiallow Constant of channel maintenance (0.41) and lineament density (0.20 km/kmindicatepotential. Interrelationship among the morphometric parameters indicates that the basin has moderate flood andmoderate recharge property. The flood frequency analysis studied forionship the Shigaon River gauging station indicatesfrequent floods in the Warana River basin. Water tabltable fluctuations at decadal time scales indicated moderate to highrecharge characteristics.
